Mickey was born in Annapolis, Maryland and started playing the piano at age 5. He has been playing professionally ever since. His formal music education includes studies at The Berklee College of Music, Boston, MA.

Though you may know Mickey through his work in jazz music, he has also recorded, performed and toured with many of the world's top entertainers: Kenny Rogers, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Barbara Mandrell, Urbie Green, Dottie West, Jerry Reed, Dolly Parton, Randy Travis, Lonnie Mack, Roy Clark, Stan Lassiter, Charlie Pride, Lenny Breau, B.J. Thomas, Brenda Lee, Lynn Anderson, Tris Imboden, John Snyder, Cristy Lane, and Kathie Lee Gifford.

Mickey has performed on many National Television Shows and venues with some of America's most beloved Stars: Christmas with Ronald Reagan, The Ray Charles 50th Anniversary Special, The American Music Awards, The Grammy Awards, The Merv Griffin Show, Carnegie Hall, The Tom Snyder Show, Allen Thicke, Hee Haw, The Nashville Now Show, The Dolly Pardon show, Regis and Kathie Lee Live, The Jerry Lewis Telethon March of Dimes, Austin City Limits, and Bob Hope's USO Special. He appeared on the following Showtime Specials - Dottie West in Edmonton Alberta Canada, Live in Cincinnati with Dottie West.

Mickey has shared the stage at live performances with: George Burns, Jack Lemmon, Urbie Green, Mundell Lowe, Jerry Van Dyke, Gallagher, Mel Tillis, Ronnie Milsap, Jerry Reed, Eva Cassidy, Chuck Brown, Lee Greenwood, Parris Lane, Oak Ridge Boys, and The Girls Next Door.

Mickey is currently working and teaching in his hometown of Annapolis, Maryland and is also working on his first book entitled, "High Notes, Low Notes".
